Product Description

 1.Product Overview
       The "HA004-4X-10/16Q Self-operated Pressure Difference Control Valve with Check Valve" (hereinafter referred to as the pressure difference control valve) is a dynamic balance hydraulic self-control valve that maintains a constant pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the valve. It is also known as a pressure difference balance valve or bypass pressure difference control valve, etc.
       ΔP = P1 - P2 is not affected by fluctuations in the pressure before the valve. The most widely used ΔP is within the range of 0.5 MPa, but it can be arbitrarily adjusted to other pressure differences. It is an indispensable self-control device in HVAC systems to achieve dynamic balance. If ΔP is greater than 0.7 MPa, consultation with the manufacturer is recommended.
      When the pressure difference control valve is installed at the outlet of the pump, it can stabilize the pressure difference between the pump's inlet and outlet, effectively limit the pump's flow, prevent overload operation, and ensure the safety of the unit. When the water pump stops, the main valve automatically closes.
2.Technical Parameters
      The flange connection is manufactured according to the GB/T17241.6 standard, and the strength and sealing tests are carried out according to GB/T13927. The main test technical parameters are shown in Table 1, the main material of components is shown in Table 2, and the outline is shown in Figure 1.

       1)Self-acting: The term "self-acting" refers to a pressure differential control valve that is driven by the pressure difference of the medium entering and exiting the main valve. It operates as a fully automatic hydraulic self-regulating valve (see Figure 1), requiring no external power or electronic control devices. The pressure signal is transmitted to the sensitive pilot valve 6, and through the high-precision spring adjustment and amplification control of the pilot valve, the set pressure difference before and after the valve is determined.
       2)The set pressure difference value remains unchanged despite fluctuations in the pipeline pressure: When the pressure before the valve increases, the pressure difference also increases. At this point, the opening of the pilot valve increases, causing a reduction in pressure in the upper control chamber of the main valve. As a result, the valve disc opens further, leading to an increase in pressure after the valve, thus maintaining a constant pressure difference. Conversely, when the pressure before the valve decreases, the opposite occurs, still maintaining a constant pressure difference.
       3)The pressure difference (ΔP) adjustment range is extensive: The pressure differential pilot valve utilizes an extremely sensitive adjustable spring to withstand pressure differences and balance fluctuations in inlet pressure. The commonly used optimal range for pressure difference (ΔP) is between 0 to 0.5 MPa, and it is widely applied. If a larger adjustment range is required, please specify it at the time of ordering.
       4)Possessing an automatic check function: The pressure differential control valve does not increase pressure. If the pressure before the valve is insufficient to maintain the set pressure difference, the main valve will automatically close gradually. When the pressure after the valve is greater than the pressure before the valve or when the pump stops, pressure water is promptly injected into the upper control chamber of the piston through the ball valve, check valve, as shown on the right side of the diagram. This results in the automatic gradual closure of the main valve. The closing speed can be adjusted to prevent damage from water hammer.
       5)Improving system efficiency: Figure 2 illustrates three common installation configurations in a stable heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system for reference.
       6)Improving pump efficiency: If installed at the inlet and outlet of the pump, it can stabilize the pump's discharge head within the efficient operating range, thereby increasing the pump's efficiency and saving energy.
       7)Strong cavitation resistance: The Y-shaped wide valve chamber and "gourd" shaped valve body exhibit excellent resistance to cavitation, especially noticeable under high pressure differentials and hot water conditions.
